A photographic reminder of a lost place.
For years, I saw that one bench on the edge of Anna’s Hoeve during my regular bus trip to the graphic studio. I took a picture of it at the hottest moment of a hot summer day.
The next time I came back, the bench was gone.
How do you imagine the passage of time at a place of which you only have one photo? Van der Linde found the answer in her collection of expired darkroom papers. Fifty times the same image on different types of expired darkroom paper.
This resulted in a series of mysterious images, each of which depicts an episode in the existence of the bench in its own imperfections. The series was bundled in a self-produced zine.
